I went on the Zaandam in October and had a great time and you will to, Bill.

Dw and I will sail with Bill and Virginia and other CC'ers to Alaska in May. We are thinking enviously about their Hawaii trip. Oh to be away from the 40 mph winds Bill is experiencing in Vegas right now (but as he said in another post, he doesn't have to shovel wind).

Bill and Virginia, have a wonderful time and remember to bring the pictures.

Thanks everyone!

We have gathered a bunch of clothes and are ready to commence packing! Monday still seems too far off, but we will spend two days in San Diego before embarking. So, that means we should see the Oosterdam, minus the Yum-Yum Man Worshippers, depart Saturday evening. We are meeting a couple for dinner on Saturday evening, who we met on the Zaandam in May.

I have had a roll call for several months, but no one else has posted, so it won't be much of a CC get together this time!

I shall post a review upon return!

I am only guessing you are the Bill of Bill and Virginia that Ron & I met on the Noordam transatlantic a year and a half ago with the Nick Ross Orchestra. You were great dancers!

We lost your business card and it saddened me, I'd love to catch up with you two. If I am mistaken and you aren't the Bill and Virginia from Las Vegas, My Apologies!

Wow and lucky you! I had such a good time on my Zaandam trip to Hawaii when we sailed there December '07.

If you get a chance to meet our wonderful diningroom steward, Bambang, please tell him hello from Debby and Sherry. We were the ones who were trying VERY hard to learn bahasa Indonesian. He very kindly and patiently helped us out.

ALOHA! We returned home Tuesday evening after a great Zaandam cruise!

We had wonderful weather and we saw lots of very active whales while at Hilo, Kuaui and Maui--much better than Alaska, at least in that regard!

The Zaandam was very nice, with a great crew. The Captain was Jan Smit and CD was Chris Butcher, fairly new to HAL, but very nice, personable, funny, and we think he will be great for HAL. We were lucky in that there was NO Norovirus outbreak during our entire 15-day cruise. HAL is getting very proactive with preventive measures: Purell dispensers everywhere, signs and announcements to wash hands frequently, sanitizer wipes for opening public bathroom doors (from the inside), etc.

So good to hear from and thanks so much for the email. I have upgraded and lost your business (not lost actually but rather most likely misplaced) so I appreciate being able to reconnect with you.

I love that you two are still doing the Ritz. It is such a fun dance...!

I hope we can manage a future cruise together again. We'd love it.
