Ive seen posts saying that the entertainment and activities are geared toward an older crowd--Whats the definition of "older"?

Ive been on cruises that have vegas style shows and have activities such as game shows and trivia among others

Does HAL have these also??

Thanks in advance

The entertainment is very similar to other lines. Yes there are Vegas style shows, magicians, soloists, etc. I wouldn't say it is geared for an older crowd compared to other lines. Yes there are game shows, trivia, etc.

The entertainment and activities on HAL are pretty much the same as we've seen on Princess & Celebrity...

Lots of activities on HAL to please everyone.

Some of the activities you can earn Dam Dollars.

Since we never made it to the shows on Royal Caribbean, I don't have a frame of reference, but I found the shows on the Noordam to be substantially schizophrenic, switching back and forth between trying to appear contemporary and trying to appeal to the 70+ set. The end-result was often IMHO a miasma of mediocrity, or worse.

Sailed on the Zuiderdam in July to Alaska and wasnt impressed with the activties at all throught is was due to being in Alaska and all the later stays in port. Just returned on Saturday 2-16 from the Ossterdam and the activties were the worst part of the trip. There was very little music at the pools the games lasted 15 minutes. The evening show were okay the juggler was the worst and he was on for 2 nights. I love HAl the food and staterooms but the activties suck How about a late naight comdey show, something for those who have dinner at 8p and dont want to rush to see a show at 10
