Excellent photos! Very well done.
I've just begun the selection process for mine from the Jan 27th sailing. :) You got to do the Lemaire Channel ... I'm jealous. It was too packed with ice for us to make it through. :( But, we made it through other channels, so I'm not really complaining.
Again, excellent job! You've set the bar high for mine.

Stunning! Great framing!
And both my HAL and Hurtigruten brochures of the area arrived today. I'm ready to go.
Are those digital photos or film? What kind of camera did you use? If film, what brand and ASA speed did you use? I still travel with my '64 Voightlander.

Absolutely AMAZING PHOTOS!
Among the very BEST we've ever seen. Your pictures appear as if you are a professional photographer. Or, you have a very expensive camera. Or perhaps you're one of the few travelers who happen to have "an eye" for that special shot. Every shot is breathtaking!
My wife and I are not ones who like cold weather and are not likely take a cruise to Antartica, but through your pictures we have thoroughly enjoyed the trip!
Thank you so much for sharing them with all of us on the HAL board. They truly are REMARKABLE!

Thanks for the link to your pictures. They brought back great memories from my cruise in January 2006 on the Rotterdam. From the looks of it, you got just a bit further into Lemaire Channel than we did ... lucky you! But, the day we were in Lemaire Channel it was sunny with blue skies and just a few clouds floating about. It was amazing to see all the rock formations under the snow cover...totally unexpected. The next day in Andvord & Paradise Bay was even sunnier and warmer! Our third day was overcast and similar to the weather you experienced near Elephant Island, etc. I don't think I've ever seen pictures from Elephant Island where the weather is clear.
Seeing your pictures makes me want to return to Antarctica and experience it all again!!!!

Wow: Great shots of Antartica. I will have to talk to DW about booking this cruise in the future. She enjoys Alaska and it looks even better and the cool weather does not stop her. She much prefers this than the hot caribbean.
