Karaoke on The Zaandam??

Wondering if there is Karaoke on the Zaandam? We are sailing September 4 to Alaska. Looking forward to being on the Zaandam as it has had many good reviews and comments.

When we were on the Zaandam last year there was no karaoke.:(

Sorry, no karaoke on the Zaandam. Wish there was. We have sailed her 4 times and have 2 more cruises booked on her for Dec. There is a great crew on board right now, especially on the lido deck, you`ll have a lot of fun....jean :cool:

I don't know what the problem is with Kararoke. We had it on 3 Volendm cruises but I don't believe it was on the Statendam or Rotterdam.

I think karaoke can be fun and a real hoot sometimes.

The best I saw was on the Norway. They were 50/60 cruises and some of the people who got sang were really good, even the guy that did Elvis.:D

I absolutely love karaoke, watching it not participating!! I have seen some great singers and some so awful it defies imagination! BUT, they all had the guts to get up there and sing...which I do not! Sure wish they would bring it back on the HAL ships......jean :cool:

Any idea of why they dropped it? All the ships had the equipment and there were always people willing to give it a try.

gizmo, I have asked on a number of occasions if there is karaoke on the volendam most people said no or they had never heard of it, when were you last on her? I do hope this is so, we are going on the 10/17 as a family of seven my brother is a pro and very entertaining, cant wait, please say it is so:D

Sorry lindeyjulie, but it has been around 3 years since I have been on the Volendam. I hope they have it when you sail.
Maybe if you bring it up to the Cruise Director early on in the cruise, he/she might make arrangements to have it one night. It never hurts to ask.

I understand that they got rid of the Karaoke machines on all the ships a couple of years ago, but I am sure I read where they have them on the Vista ships.
No Karaoke last Christmas on the Volendam.
