Any recommendations for snorkeling while in either Cabo, Mazatlan or Pt Vallarta? My husband and I are big fans of this activity and have been told not to expect too much while there. :p

My father went on a shore excursion in Cabo San Lucas while Mom and I shopped. He is trying to remember the name of it, but I think that it was the sail and snorkel - something like that. He loved it! They took him out on a huge sailboat that was docked next to the tenders on the same pier and then they sailed out to Lands End (he thinks that was what it was called) and then they had about 1 hour to snorkel before sailing back. On the way back is when the ship's captain decided to break out the tequila, which made Dad and all of the others very happy and loud when they arrived back and staggered off the boat. I think that there are different excursions offered that might have more time allotted for snorkeling, but Dad is planning on doing it again the next time he is in Cabo. If you get a chance to do a Sea of Cortez cruise, the snorkeling in La Paz/Pichilingue and Loreto is far superior than PV, Mazatlan and Cabo. I think that it just happens to be because it's not as protected in the Mexican Riviera as the Sea of Cortez.
