This will be our first time on HAL. Thanks for all of your help and suggestions. We have the Boston Holiday Inn Express reserved and their shuttle will pick us up at the airport and then the next morning they will take us to the pier.
Anyone else going on the Sept. 11 Maasdam?

Please let us know about your cruise when you return. Many of us are big fans of Maasdam and will be interested in your review.

YES! Finally hearing from someone sailing out of Boston on 9/11. We're staying at the Boston Wyndham for 3 nites prior to sailing and at the Montreal SpringHill Suites on the last night of our trip. I am now working on whether to book excursions in Bar Harbor and Halifax or just wing it. My one definite plan is to eat lobster and mussels whenever possible while in port. I called HAL yesterday and learned that the "Informal" night is the 4th night out and not the 3rd like I had assumed. They told me that the 1st two nights were casual, then formal, informal, casual, formal, and casual. Kind of different, don't you think. Here's to our great upcoming trip!
