If I send out our formal wear to be cleaned and pressed on embarkation day would I get it back in time for the first formal night the next night? Ive never sent out cleaning the first day so I have no experience with this. Is the service even available on embarkation day? Thanks

We've done it several times and it always comes back in time.

I ask our room steward to send our formal wear out for pressing first thing while we're unpacking. It's back in time for dinner the next evening. I do not ask for cleaning, just pressing.

If we have anything else to clean/press/launder, I send it separately the next morning.

We had our formal shirts pressed after embarkation - it had to be express service to get it back in time. It was $3.50 per shirt and a 50% surcharge for express. It was delivered midday the next day.

I've thought about it but never had the courage to take a chance.
