Anyone going on the 3-day Westerdam cruise in December? What a great way to take a long weekend. We would love to go but already cruising a week later. If I were a local would definitely go for it.

Same here - it's just too far to go for a 3 day week-end. Air fare would be costly from Canada & we are sailing on the ship shortly after that.

Airfare is out of sight for such a short cruise.
But we will be doing back-to-back cruises on her in January.

I checked the airfare for us - Wash, DC to Ft. Lauderdale for those dates is $171. I think that is pretty good. We paid a lot more the last time we flew to FLL.

If I didn't have that 'made eight months in advance' doctor's appointment on December 2, I would think about going.

Have you checked to see if they have a cancelation list? You might get lucky and get a cancelation in time to book the cruise too.

There is a airline fare sale this weekend. Maybe those of you looking to come to Ft. Lauderdale for Westerdam should take a look. I got an email from Delta and American. Then checked Southwest and Delta Song.
DH and I are having lunch on Westerdam December 2. We will wave at you getting on the ship while we are being shoved (kicking and screaming) out the door.

I haven't, Joni...but that is a good idea. I was shocked when I tried to make an appointment last April and they told me the first available was December 2. Better be some 'darn good doctor' to wait 8 months to get in there.

:D Oh my goodness.....you are right. That "dam" doctor better "dam" well be worth booking a full eight "dam" months in advance. For crying out loud, half her "dam" patients must croak by the time they get in there.....I "dam" well have no intention of doing that!!!;)

We are leaving that very day from the same port for our cruise to the Panama Canal. Guess we'll see the Westerdam in FLL and HMC!!
Did you notice the new activities at HMC?
"You’ll have a full day on our private paradise to explore the new activities and experience how smoothly they integrate into the peaceful and pristine nature of the island. The new additions include the WaveRunner™ park, Kids’ Aqua Park, Horseback Ride ’n Swim excursion and Stingray Cove."
I remember seeing another post on the new activities at HMC. Guess they are really doing it, and this cruise must be it's "debut."
'Til we sail on Rotterdam,

"Dam" it! I would have loved this living right here in West Palm. But we're on the Oosterdam 11/7 ... no way we can up and away again so soon.:)
