I'm looking at the cruise brochure that shows Prisendam's deck plans and have some questions. Looking at the aft section of the main deck and the forwards of the verandah & lido decks are white areas that look like a mini maze. What does that represent? Also what are the uses for the "oak room" and and "half moon" rooms? How often per cruise do they do demonstrations in the culinary arts center?

In general, any unlabeled white areas on deck plans are "crew only". I don't have the deck plans of the Prinsendam handy, but "mini mazes" on most ships directly behind the bridge are officer's quarters. "Mini mazes" on lower decks are most likely are lower ranking crew. White spaces on low decks at the stern are usually work areas ... and may be noisy!
The Oak Rooms that remain on the Zuiderdam and the Oosterdam are cigar-smoking rooms, and that may be what its use is on the P'dam ... but I don't really know. Half Moon and Hudson rooms are areas that can be configured different ways for small meetings or events.
Edit: okay, I just looked at the Prinsendam deck plans, and I would say that all three of areas that you asked about are crew quarters, with the highest ranking directly behind the bridge. My guess is that the Oak Room there is not a smoking room, but just a general-purpose meeting room. And the unlabelled white area at the stern of the Dolphin deck is crew work area.

I'm looking at the brochure for the Prinsendam and can't find the areas that you refer to as the "mini maze." The white area aft on the Main Deck is a work area for the crew. In fact, those unmarked areas on any of the decks at the center are work areas. The Half Moon and Oak Rooms are used for meetings , bridge games and the like. The demonstrations in the culinary arts center are generally given on those days when the ship is at sea.
