We have stayed on the west side a couple of times that looks out towards towards the ocean - can't sea it - but from that side you can see the ship come into port.
We have also stayed on the Bay side (south) which looks towards Seaport Village.
Loved both views.
Ninth floor is great.
Small balcony - can only stand on it - but we loved watching the firewroks when we there for Cino de Mayo.
