Hi, just booked our first Holland America-Zuiderdam Cat. S and see that we
have use of "Neptune Lounge". Exactly what is this all about?
Complimentary snacks, coffee? Do they serve drinks, etc.? On Rccl in the
Concierge Lounge they did have drinks and wonderful snacks and
coffee. Looking forward to this cruise, even though it's a year away.
Thanks for your help and whatever input you can offer.

Neptune Lounges are wonderful IMO. They really enrich the Suite experience by having a comfortable place to go for great coffee, continental breakfast, light lunch, sweets, snacks, homemade chocolates. There is no liquor served in the Neptune Lounges.
There are newspapers there if you want to catch up on the news. A TV is always playing. Books/magazines......
The Concierges who work there are fabulous in helping you with just about any need you have. You can do all of the things you normally have to do at the Front Office with the Concierges. They will book alternative restaurant for you etc

On our last cruise ( Canada ) a couple, not us ordered drinks and they were sent down from the Crow's Nest for them. They looked like a good one. They sat in the Neptune lounge and drank them. I never thought of that but it might be different on different on some other HA ships, just a note. I still enjoy the view at Crow's Nest.

Continental breakfast consists of various rolls and pastries, cold cereal - if your brand isn't there - concierge will send for it, muesli, fresh fruits, cheese, meats, yogurt, juices, coffee (expresso/capaccino machine), teas. It is available till 11 AM.
Then it is replaced with small tea sandwiches, cookies, chocolates, etc. until 5 PM.
Then cold vegetables and cold appetizers are brought out.
The concierge can do lots of things - even make change.
Being in a suite you will also get priority tender passes.

We have been on quite a few cruises where we have had the opportunity to have the Neptune Lounge.
Have never seen anyone order a cocktail.
Might try it on the Maasdam.

vjb....Thanks. I look forward to the chance to meet you.
While I have never seen anyone order liquor in the Neptune Lounge, it does sound reasonable that if someone really wanted to have a drink in there, the Concierge would call one of the bars and order it for them.....charging it to the personal account, of course :) No reason to think that cannot happen.
