If you have stayed in this cabin, could you tell me if there is noise from the elevators next to the cabin. We like mid ship and are looking at booking this cabin. Thanks for any information you may be able to share.

The problem with Suite 7067 is not noise because of the glass elevators. The problem is lack of privacy on your verandah because of the glass elevators. The elevators are deeper than your verandah and everyone on the elevator will be looking right at you if you are out there.

For that reason these cabins adjacent to the glass elevators are some of the last booked and personally I would never book one unless it was the last suite left and I just had to take that cruise. If you never plan on using your verandah, you will be fine. If you want some privacy, book elsewhere. :)

When we were on the Oosterdam, we noticed that it was a rare occassion when someone was out on the verandahs that were right next to the elevators.

No privacy at all!

Keep in mind that elevator riders, if they're looking, will only have a brief view. And not everyone takes those elevators, or any elevators, for that matter.

If you like to go out on your balcony au natural (especially if you're shy) it could be a problem.

Those cabins wouldn't be my first choice, but if I got a good deal I would take it. Consider that once you step outside your cabin and go to most any public area you also have no privacy. But so what, we do that all the time and have survived very well.

Thanks for the great info. I called TA this morning and she got us S7088. It is one of the oddly shaped cabins and looks like the balcony is larger too. Hope this one will be a good suite with good location.

You are on the bend. You can definitely look onto the first couple of verandahs forward of you. And anyone standing at their rail can look onto your verandah.
