Still trying to adjust to all the snow and no one waiting on me but I just wanted to briefly state that both my husband and I thoroughly enjoyed our cruise. The crew was top notch and our stewardess Aida looked after us well. She is a real asset to Regent! Our CC meeting was fun and it was nice to meet another friendly bunch of CC people. All and all, a really relaxing and enjoyable experience. Now off to try and wade through my mail and tons of laundry.

Welcome home Pat and DH! It was great to meet you on the Mariner and hope you had an easy trip home.

It's hard getting back to reality! I've waited every morning for a menu and my juice and coffee to be poured. It looks like I'm going to have to train my DH!

Hi Ricki,

It was fun to meet you and the rest of the CC gang.
bigdougw3999, I hope you had the big lobster tails as I ordered something called Canadian lobster tails on the menu and believe me they were nothing like a "real" Canadian lobster tail most Canadians would be used to receiving. Way tooooooo tiny!
Enjoy the rest of your cruise.

Hey folks,

We are going to the EC on Mariner next month (21 days from today to be exact!) and I have a few questions for you about this cruise. Did any of you do the RSSC excursion to the baths and what did you think of it? I read somewhere that they just dump you at the baths and you take a shuttle bus back - that doesn't sound worth the money in MHO so I would like to know your educated opinion. Also - did any of you rent cars on the island and if so would you mind sharing who you rented from and at what rate as well as your opinion of the shape of the vehicle and convenience of renting (ie - did you have to take a cab to airport or just rent at port). What was your weather like? Watching the weather from here it looked like it rained most days - I am hoping that is incorrect. Last question - did any of you have RSSC pack you a box lunch to bring on short at port? Were you allowed to bring it on to the island and how was it?

THANKS so much for letting me pick your brains!

We never did the Baths shore excursion so I can't help you with that. We did rent a car through Regent on St. Barts for $115.00.....that was for the car, insurance and gas. We later found out that most car companies on this particular island will not rent a car for less then a 3 day charge so we were happy that we made our arrangements thru Regent's shore excursions. The car was waiting for us at the dock as soon as we tendered over. I don't recall it raining during our cruise at all except for a slight shower that did not last very long. Just sunny skies every day. As far as the box lunch goes I'd check with Regent and which port you are thinking about packing a lunch for as certain islands do not let you import meat, vegetables etc. onto their island..........although no one was checking what you were bringing ashore so I guess you could pack something in your purse etc. and no one would know.

Hi Peter and Susanne,

You must have been tired by the time you got home, but at least you have your suntans to show everyone! What a contrast: 90 degree sunshine to a snow blizzard!

How are the cats?
