Hello,
My Husband and I will be driving to Seattle for our 5/11/08 Alaskan cruise aboard the Westerdam. I am wondering if anyone has parked at the dock in Seattle?

Is it necessary to reserve a parking space ahead of time? Any difficulties with reservations? Was the garage easy to find? Was the signage clear and understandable? How much time should we allow to get ourselves from our car to the ship?

Also, how bad is traffic around the dock on Sundays with guests embarking and disembarking?

Thanks!
karen

HAL sails out of pier 30 which is in an industrial area. The parking lot is outdoors and right at the port. I would make a reservation ahead of time since ther are not a lot of spaces. Here is the port of Seattle website pagehttp://www.portseattle.org/seaport/cruise/parkingandtransportation.shtml

Sunday mornings shouldn't be too bad, unless there is more than 1 ship in port. The walk from the terminal to the parking lot is oh, about 50 feet.
