I know I've seen this thread before, but am having a hard time locating it. I'm trying to find out where in St. Thomas the Zui will be docked in St. T. Earlier this year on the Zaan, we docked at the auxillary boat yard - that was terrible. Anyone know if the Zui will be at Havensight or tender to downtown?

Right now there aren't a lot of cruise ships in St Thomas - so you should be docked in Havensight.

By the end of September and beginning of October when the cruise ships have left Alaska and headed for the Caribbean, there will be more cruise ships there.

So you could either be in Havensight, tender straight into Charlette Amalie, or Crown Bay.

The site www.********** only shows the schedule for the present month and following month, i.e. right now August and September. Don't know when you are going but check the site about a month before you leave.

Sometimes there could be a change. One cruise we were to tender and at the last minute the Captain was told that he could dock at Crown Bay. We were surprised when we walked out on the balcony as the Rembrandt (Rotterdam V) was docked beside us and having sailed on her many times we were delighted to see her again. Yes, it's not the ideal place to dock, but I understand they are building a lot of stores and possibly a mall in the area.

I heard the same thing about Crown Bay. They want it to be like Havensight. Wonder when all the shops are supposed to be done?

I hate when we dock at Crown Bay........I think I'd rather tender if we can't go to Havensight.

Hi everyone,
You can access docking info if you go to www.kroooz-cams.com, and bring up port cams for the caribbean. It's a neat web site that gives you ship and port cameras all over the world...If you go to the right side (when you have St. Thomas's camera on) and key on St Thomas info it takes you into an area where you can request ships schedules. You can also do this for Key West, Grand Caymen and loads of other ports....Hope this helps.

thanks for the info on the docking. Earlier this year we docked at Crown Bay, and it was terrible. No shopping, nothing near by. The only option was taxi to town. I hadn't heard about the shopping that's great if they build some there.

I think I remember reading that Carnival is 'contributing' a tidy sum to assist in developing Crown Bay to somewhat resemble Havensight.

When we were in St Thomas this summer I recall there being a LOT of construction at Havensite -- we would normally have picked up our sail yacht charter at Havensite but were unable to do so due to the construction -- instead we were sent out to Red Hook (no cruise ships there)

You can find the cruise ship schedule on the web sit for the island of St. Thomas, but they only post about one month at a time.

A lot of construction at Havensight????

Havensight already has a lot of stores, etc.

What else could they possibly put in there?
