We have booked our own flights from Orlando to Seattle and back for our May 11th cruise to Alaska. The TA said we could purchase transfer passes thru HAL, however, according to their website, these passes can only be purchased the day of sailing?? unless I am reading it wrong, this does not make sense. The TA said it would be about $42 pp, would a taxi be easier/faster/cheaper? Our flight gets in at 12pm, I was hoping to be well on my way to gaining 5LBS and have a drink with a cute little umbrella and big giant straw in my hand by 1:30pm...What works best?

I'm not sure about cheaper, but sure would be faster and easier and probably cheaper too.

Please come to our rol call for this sailing! We can help you there! We have been discussing this various issue. Most of us are forgoing the transfer in order to get to the ship and start enjoying themselves. It costs more to take a cab, but if you want to get to the ship the quickest, that's the way to go. As a matter of fact, some of us have booked already there town car service!

See you at the roll call....select Holland America- Westerdam and then click on our sailing!:D :D

Definitely take a Taxi - and it will be
less expensive than $42 pp !! And
you won't have to wait for a bus to
fill up..........

Suggest getting a porter to help
with your luggage. It has been awhile
since we were at that airport - but I
believe you have to get in an elevator
and go over the roadway to the taxis....
Not really sure.

There is a web page for the airport -
that should give you information.

We used Alreadythere Towncar from the airport to the ship and then back to the airport at the end of the cruise. The cost was about $40 to $45 each way and they were great! Didn't have to wait in any taxi lines or wait for others to board the bus. Their website is: www.alreadytheretowncar.com/

You should have been able to have your T/A add these transfers to your booking before you made final payment, but it appears you've passed that milestone. We fly out 2 days early and use the hotel shuttle to the pier ... and we have our T/A include post-cruise transfer as part of our booking.

I believe you'll be able to buy post-cruise transfers while on board, should you desire.

A taxi from SEA to Terminal 30 should run you about $40 and take around 20 minutes, unless traffic is bad and then it could take an hour. If you are on the Alaska non-stop from MCO to SEA plan on a wait for your luggage. Alaska is huge at SEA, but they only use a couple baggage carousels which can really slow things down.

Our flight gets in at 12pm,

If you want to use Already There Towncar, the fee is $45, for two people. And coincidently;) , we will be getting out of our Towncar around 10:00 that morning at SeaTac, heading home. So if you contact them, they will likely have one at the airport, even if it is from someone else getting off the Westerdam that morning.
