Does anyone know if ESPN2 is available on the Zuiderdam W. Carib? College football is back.

ESPN 2? Ummmm, well, probably not.

Last year on Zui on a Monday night the sports bar was showing a soccer game with Spanish commentary instead of Monday Night Football. The cruise director had to be called to quell the mob. Oh, the mob was sucessful in getting the game. It was fabulous, double overtime.

Not only was the sports bar something of a joke, but the sports selection on cabin tv was worse. Even getting football scores was a chore. I swore I would never sail HAL again during the fall.

Of course, my previous cruise had been on Disney, and they own ABC and ESPN. Regional game? No problem. National game? No problem. Post game score summaries, no problem. All of it on your cabin tv, as well as, the sports bar.

Just make up your mind before you leave to spend a weekend on vacation from *all* of reality.

Sorry, no way!! The only ESPN available is ESPN international, which is in spanish and shows mostly soccer. We were lucky they showed the Philly/Pittsburgh game this past week, otherwise it was taped BBC olympic coverage. IF there is a major sports event you may get it, but otherwise you'll get scores on the bottom line still, although in spanish you can still figure out what it says. I now know oro, plato and bronce...
