View Full Version : St. Thomas- liquor and sunset sail questions

The St. Thomas board has not been very active lately, so I thought I'd post here. I have two questions-
When you buy liquor on St.Thomas, will they send it back to the ship for you so you don't have to carry it around? They did this in Grand Cayman, but I'm not sure if it's a standard practice elsewhere.
Has anyone ever booked a sunset sail in St. Thomas? Since we will be there til 11 (we can only hope...), I thought this would be a great way to spend the evening there. Any recommendations?
Thanks in advance!

I don't know about a sunset sail, but as to the liquor.....yes, the stores will send it over to the ship for you. They will hold it for you until the last night when it will be delivered to your cabin.

Are you certain that you will be there 11 PM?
So many have posted here lately about their time being changed in St Thomas.

AH RIISE delivers to the ships. The liquor is delievered in nice carry on type boxes with handles. I believe there is a time limit for purchases to be delivered to the ship. You can check with the person giving the port talks on board. They should be able to tell you what time you have to purchase it by, to get it delivered.

AHRiis has a 2pm cut off time for deliveries to the ship, after that time, purchases have to be carried back on board, and they`ll still take them away from you to hold till the last night!!!.....jean

Did you ever check to see what time your ship will actually be leaving St Thomas?

If you are flying and do intend to take home some alcohol, check with the airline to see if you are allowed to have boxes of alcohol in addition to your regular carry-on bag. Some of the airlines only allow one or the other - not both.

Yes, according to the latest word, any eastern date after Oct 23rd is supposed to be back on the original schedule. So they are saying we'll be in St. Thomas til 11. I'm not going to believe it though until my November 6th sailing gets closer. I'll check back again to see if things have changed...again!
