Looking at photos of the sunset verandahs, it appears that they are solid and as opposed to glass. We recently had an aft cabin on the Summit and so enjoyed sitting there and watching the ocean from that vantage point. Is this possible on the Quest or Journey or does one need to be standing to see the water?

We were in an aft sunset veranda on our March 1st Quest cruise. The verandas are solid. I don't recall having any problems seeing the water while sitting on the deck reading.

DW is 5 ft short, er, tall and has no problem seeing over the solid wall while sitting on the balcony in Miami. This shot shows her on Oceania Regatta, cabin 6090. As you may know Quest and Regatta are almost identical. All our cruises so far have been in an aft cabin, and will be in the future.

6090 and 6093 are the secret cabins on Azamara..they are very desirable for the large size of the balcony due to the configuration of the ship..enjoy

We are back from our crossing on the Quest last month.
The picture below should give you a good idea what the view is like.
