On Jan 3, 2009 the Oosterdam to Mexico features a Carnival shipboard credit of $100 for one shareholder.
Sample fare for two in an E category is $2017 and one shareholder gets the $100 credit.
Sample fare for two non-shareholder Mariners in an E category is $1917 without the credit.
Any questions?

Yes, Bill that makes no sense. I have always gotten a fair price competive price from my TA and still get the CCL stock credit. As a matter of fact I Tuesday at about 4 PM my time I faxed in my request for our June cruise and as of 10 AM the next morning it was already showing.

What doesn't make sense about that is that, as suggested above, most of us book without any request for the credit. Thus, we would be booking at the non-shareholder rate, if there is such a thing. Only later do we submit the required proof of stock ownership to claim the credit, thus reducing the original "non-shareholder" price.

I cannot see it but my TA can and advised me of the information.

I am only posting what Polar shows. You may have other arrangements with your agent.
The Polar site requires a password. HAL's regular site will not show shipboard credits for stockholders.
--------------------------------------
More sample fares, plus taxes, etc. Multiply by two.
The left column gets the $100, the right is the Mariner fare, no credit, but $100 less for two.
Stockholder fare----Mariner fare.

Yes, but many of us get the discounted fair and then some plus the CCL credit so I am confused and what your point is:confused:

I am still confused too.
I have been getting the stock credit for years and booking through TA's.

Is this the OBC we get for owning 100 shares, another way of getting that money, or something entirely different?
