Does anyone have pics of shower only on the vista class?

We have a preference for a full shower recess rather than standing in a tub, but seems like we could be rare. Would be great to see pics of the shower only bathrooms. :D :D :D

I'm also interested in shower only rooms. Some verandah cabins aft specify that they have a shower only, but I'm wondering what it's like. Sounds like it would be a good option for my two sons as neither of them could care if they had a bathtub.

We've had the shower only cabin bathroom on the Oosterdam, V- category cabin, and it is just fine--same bath configuration otherwise, handheld shower with flex tube that sits in the stand-- trust me, the boys will not miss the tub--we did the same with our two! All they ever remember is the food, not the cabin!:)

Is the shower size that of a regular stand up or is it a bit wider being there is no tub?

The shower is not the same size as a regular shower stall at home.

It is small (but bigger than the ones in RCI, Celebrity, NCL and various other lines).

You have more room to shower in the HAL bathtub than in the stall.

I have trouble getting into a bathtub/shower combo because of the big step in if it isn't sunken (which I am pretty sure it isn't). If my cabin has a combo, are there grab bars in the tub/shower?

TIA.

We've always found grab bars - be it the shower stall or the combo. Remember this is a moving ship (sometimes in pretty rough seas), they can be needed to keep ones self IN the shower.

As a short person, I've found the easiest way to enter the tub/combo is to sit on the edge and swing the legs in - then standing.

NorthShore,

I don't recall any problem with the size of the shower stall, or using the shower on the OOsterdam. Not to worry. There are still the nice little trays for toiletries and soaps on the wall in the stall. Better bathroom is in s-suites on vista--shower plus tub and shower unit! That was great for 2, more like a bath at home, but we still found we used shower stall more often than tub unit. The only shower stall that stands out in my mind was the one on Royal Caribbean in the early 90's-- super small , even for us, and we are not large! Sometime during that era of cruising we remember the cabins being so small you could use a hairdryer, plugged in, and travel anywhere in the cabin--no place was further than the length of the cord!! And i do draw the line--we were looking for bargain hotels in Europe this summer, but when i saw the picture of the toilet in the shower stall , i increased the budget considerably!!
