Tibet Entry Permits Still on Hold

China had indicated that tourists would be allowed back into Tibet after 1 May. Today, there are reports that the date has been pushed back with no new date set.

Is anyone on the ground in country that might have additional data on when Tibet will be reopened? Is it anticipated that this will only last until the torch relay to top of Everest is complete? Or, could it be longer?
