Yes, it did. Their phone lines are busy too. Did you see what Carnival did? I might could go for that. We'd have to change our flights but I think I could do that.

Just checked myself - still no update on HAL's website - way over due.

I just checked out Carnival for it's updates. Boy, I must say, I'm impressed. They've got everything rescheduled and it's all listed. :)

Too bad HAL can't follow suit - also Carnival has alot more ships in the Caribbean than HAL...

...I bet HAL would be more responsive with all 3 Vista-Class ships in the Caribbean.

But its just the Zuiderdam...

Maybe Seattle is waiting for the airlines to tell their passengers that they won't be flying them to Florida?

Tsk, tsk HAL

JUST the Zuiderdam?? Gee I wish I had the amount of money it took to build that ship in my bank account. :( I think HAL needs to remove that notification on their site about the update...people are getting too hot and angry not getting it on time.

My husband just talked to someone at HAL. She assured him they have their heads together to come up with something. She couldn't tell him what (she didn't know) but she assured him as soon as they have a solution, they will post it. It does seem to take an awfully long time to decide on one ship, doesnt' it?
There is a post somewhere with a link that shows the Z coming in at 5:30 am Sunday morning, and leaving at 5:00 PM. It would be nice if they'd tell us. What are they doing with the people that booked air with them and are flying in today or tomorrow?

Disney is sailing their 7 night trip as a 5 nighter on Monday and their 4 night as a 3 night also on Monday. RCCL also have all their modifications spelled out.

My best guess is that HAL is waiting on the next update for NHC, which comes out in 30 minutes. They are probably thinking there is going to be a miracle and the hurricane will have disappeared or done a 180 and is heading back from where it came.

HAL's primary concern at this point has to be those who are currently on the ship. They may not know, right now, where the ship will eventually dock - that depends entirely on what the storm does. Once they determine when (and where) they can safely disembark the current passengers (and crew, if necessary) then they can worry about the people in Oklahoma, or California, or Texas who are not, currently, in any danger.
