So...having never cruised with HAL, I have a few questions:
Coffee? Is it the real stuff, or that syrup stuff? Is it good?
Iced Tea? - brewed, or out of the soda fountain?
Beer? What all brands do they serve? Thanks!

Coffee and iced tea are actually pretty decent. Don't know about the beer.

If I recall right, imported beers include Grolsch, Heineken, and Corona. Don't remember which US beers they have. No microbrews, unfortunately.
The coffee from room service is MUCH better than on Celebrity. Lido coffee was decent too, though not great. After dinner cappucino in dining room (free!) was quite nice - and you can get it decaf &/or nonfat. Extra charge espresso drinks from Explorations Cafe are more or less like Starbucks, but less $. Enjoy!

Good coffee is important to me also. I do not function well without it. I treat myself to Starbuck's 2 or 3 times a week and make my own "specialty" coffees at home.

I thought the coffee was very good but only drink coffee with dessert of my eveing meal. The iced tea was just average for me but then I brew mine super strong. There is a coffee bar with yummy pastries in the Explorer's Lounge and the coffee there is more like a Starbucks I'm told. I had an iced coffee drink there that was terrific.

I'm not a big fan of HAL's coffee, but I'll drink it ... need cream though. There IS a coffee bar aboard for espresso drinks, and that was OK. Beer selection is kinda lacking if you like craft beers and darker beers ... all mainstream selections.

Coffee at the Explorations Cafe was really good. You pay for it, but it is sooooo worth it.

For people staying in Suites, the coffee machine in Neptune Lounge is wonderful. We really enjoy our coffees from it.

Coffee in the Lido is decent; better in the diningroom. A thousand times better than the crap from syrup that was served on Princess 5 years ago!
