I'm reading comments on decisions to pay and use "air deviation". I would appreciate it if someone will explain how it works. We are cruising next year from Athens & would like to go a few days earlier. We're travelling with a group & I'm assuming our agent will deal with Oceania about changed date when we all make our decision BUT I am becoming concerned that we could book extra days & then not even get into Athens until late the first day. Am I able to speak directly with Oceania about this?

Our travel agent instructed us to email the Oceania air deviation department, which responds in 1-2 days. We went back and forth a few times to get the flights we wanted. They were very good about making sure that we understood what we were agreeing to and how much it would cost. It worked very well.

find the flight that works best for you and then have your agent give the info to Oceania.. they charge per person for the deviation and then if the flight should cost more than the flight that the ship would provide, you have to pay the difference..
