View Full Version : Bakery (for cake) near Union Square NY area?

Does anyone know of a bakery that will deliver a decadent cake to a dorm room near Union Square in NYC? We want to surprise our daughter and her roommates (NYU) during move-in week this coming August. This will be their sophomore year, first in NYC as they are just finishing their freshmen year in Italy. Wanted to do something special for them!

Probably the best bakery in New York City. They are on East 11th Street. If you order online, they will deliver anywhere in NYC. They really are fabulous!

Venieros was closed by the NYC Health Department yesterday...I agree with smeyer I am a fan of Fairway.

Ugggghhh! Glad I checked back to see if anyone else had recommendations. Definitely won't be sending our daughter to Venieros. Will check out Fairway.
Has anyone heard of a tea house called Amai? Seems to be near Union Sq. and has sweets and tea...maybe a good place to do some studying? ha ha right!
