View Full Version : Catamaran tours like Barbados Silver Moon in Aruba?
where next?

We just spent the most wonderful day with Silver Moon in Barbados. Imagine a family of four with two teenagers all agreeing that it was the BEST day of the cruise!!
So, with that in mind, is there a catamaran tour in Aruba that is like Silver Moon - beautiful catamaran, small # of people, lunch, snorkeling spots.
Thank you for any ideas. I've searched and not found anything that sound as wonderful.

We've done the Silver Moon twice and could not agree with your family more. The closest we've come in Aruba was the Tranquilo. http://www.tranquiloaruba.com/ (http://www.tranquiloaruba.com/) I wrote about our experience here (http://bloggingtoaruba.*******.com/my_weblog/2006/10/sail-tranquilo-.html).
Too expensive for us, but this comes highly recommended from friends. http://www.morningstararuba.com/ (http://www.morningstararuba.com/)
FWIW, so there are no disappointments, there is no "swimming with the sea turtles" in Aruba. ;) Once in a while they are seen but not fed on a regular basis.

Hi Arubalisa,
Thank you for the info. We really loved the catamaran sailing - no heeling/tipping! We may have to make alternate plans for Aruba if there are just regular sail boats. Our cruise is a year away so I have plenty of time to research - half the fun!

The problem, if you want to refer to it in that manner, is that the catamarans in Aruba are larger and take bigger groups. There are no small boats like the Silver Moon which only take a maximum 12 or 24 people.
The only other thing I could suggest is a private charter on perhaps the Octopus http://www.octopusaruba.com/ (http://www.octopusaruba.com/) or Seaventure http://www.robertoswatersports.com/index_files/links.htm (http://www.robertoswatersports.com/index_files/links.htm).

Arubalisa, thank you for the links. I have booked private diving with robertos water sports. I was trying to find something for my dh and I to do in Aruba on Christmas day. I will write a review when we return.
