We are scheduled for the Majic cruise on the 25th of Sept and noticed that the shore excursions listed on the disney site are almost all 10 years and above. My daughter is 9, but a very mature and athletic 9. Is this mandatory 10 years, seems kinda dumb to require a person to be 10 to snorkel or ride in a jeep. Maybe it could be that they are considered at the adult rate at 10. Does anyone have any insight into this, could we simply just say she is 10, or are they going to check her ID out. Thanks

Are you sure on the ages? My daughter is 5 and we are on the Magic the week of the 18th and we have booked excursions through Disney in both St Thomas and Antigua. One of the nice things I thought was that a lot of the age limits were 5 years old for the excursions.

If the shore excursion lists a CHILDREN'S PRICE for ages 3-9, then that means kids that age are allowed. That's the price you would pay for your 9-year-old.
If they list ONLY adult prices you will need to check and see what the minimum age is for the excursion...some will start at age 10 (and they DO check, you can't book it through DCL if the child is not the required age) and others start at age 12.
There are MANY excursions that allow children; what specifically are you hoping to do with your 9-year-old?

Sorry, seems I was reading the Disney site wrong, my appologies. I missed it for some reason. I do see that they include the younger age groups in a lot of the excursions.
