Now that the Westerdam has been sailing to Alaska for a few weeks, (we am going June 15th), can anyone who has been on the Westerdam since it switched to the Alaska itinerary tell what stage shows are on the ship? Who is the Captain and CD? Any other info. would be appreciated. This is our first cruise with HAL and to Alaska.

Just returned yesterday. Captain: Peter Harris; CD Jason Venner
Didn't go to shows - tablemates said they were good. The usual production shows by cast members, a magician, can't remember what else they said. They liked them.

Just curious as most HAL captains are Dutch, but Peter Harris doesn't Dutch. What nationality is he?

The fabulous and hilarious Julie Barr will be on the Westerdam in July!! YAY! Don't miss her show on sail-away night, her late night show mid-week (x-rated), and her performances as a judge for "Westerdam Super Stars" (take off on American idol where guests participate in karaoke competition) and if you are lucky she'll also perform the last night of the cruise. She is simply the best best best!
