I know, I know everyone should have one and I am kicking myself for waiting too long. Mine expired in June and my daughter has never had one. We are going to HMC (maybe), Nassau, St Maarten and Tortola. Please if you tell me we will be ok with BCs then I will promise to renew mine as soon as we get home!

Check with your TA and HAL. How long has your passport been expired? Don't forget photo ID. Good luck.

It would have to be the original BC or a certified copy issued by your state of birth. It can not just be a copy you made of the original.

Yes, they are both original with raised seal. And DD is 18 so we both have drivers licenses for the photo ID....you think we will be ok?

Looking back at some of your posts it seems you are on the 10/23 sailing. There could very well be enough time to get your passports before you leave. My husband's passport took just 2 weeks to the day and mine 3 weeks - go figure, I got my application in hours before he did ;). Our passports were issued by the Boston office. There is also an expidited option available at an extra charge to get it back in a week or so. If you choose to send in before your cruise, I would probably recommend getting a second certified copy of your birth certificate just in case the passport does not come back in time, when you apply the certificate has to go wtih the application, you get it back with the passport.

When we got back the middle of November, 2003, I sent my passport to get renewed before our Feb/Mar cruise.
It was here in less than 2 weeks.

gliles - you will be just fine with your certified BCs, and DLs. Enjoy your cruise!

I`m not sure, could be wrong but I think you have to renew within 6 months of expiration to get the $55 renewal cost. After that it goes to $85....jean
