Booked the Hal Eurodam 3 day cruise in October with a group of friends and I was wondering if you think there will be a formal night during this short cruise. There are no sea days so that could play into it too. Has Hal held formal nights on other shorty cruises?

In general terms, formal night is the second night of a 3 or 4 night cruise.

We just recently came back from a 3-night cruise. Formal night was the second night but I would have to say I probably counted maybe ten men in tux'es, my husband being one of them.

Depends on the itinerary - the 3-day Prelude in July has no designated formal nights...
...tho that isn't going to stop us.

Thanks for the replies.
I guess we won't know for sure until closer in.

We did the Westerdam 3 night in April and there were no formal nights. You may be able to call HAL (or have your TA call if you booked that way) and they will most likely be able to tell you. When we booked our 3 night, HAL provided that information to our TA at the time of booking.

I was also wondering whether HAL has a formal night on their 3-day cruises. A HAL representative said there will be one on the Eurodam in October.

My suggestion would also be to get a hold of HAL in Seattle and ask that question. Some 3-dayers will have one and some won't. Hard to put your finger on it and why schlepp formal stuff with you if you won't have a formal night?

I was told by HAL that the three day NYC Eurodam cruise will have a formal night.
