We have a cat. G aft cabin. The illustration of all the cabins show the bed under the window. I'm wondering if there is a chance the bed won't be under the window. We had this configuration on a Princess ship and found we didn't care for it at all because we couldn't look out the window from the bed.
Not a deal breaker but curious. The illustration states not all cabins are configured the same.

We've been in a D on the Zaandam and an HH on the Volendam. Both had the beds under the windows. Why HAL thinks that's a good configuration is beyond my understanding. But we usually have insides, so any window, even with a bed under it, is a treat for us! (We were upgraded from an inside to an obstructed outside on the Star Princess, and the bed was sideways to the window. That was very nice! Although the desk functioned as one of the nightstands....)

I think it's very, very likely your bed will be under the window on the Volendam.

Yes, the bed is under the window. As you say it's not a deal breaker for us either but it would be nicer to be able to look out from the bed.

The ocean view cabins on the Vista class are configured with sideways beds. We still prefer the smaller ships though.

We don't spend much time in the cabin so it's not a problem.
