Considering the Zuiderdam but DH won't sail without a cigar bar.

Any recent cruisers please let me know if this exists and if so do you have any photos?

Thanks in advance ~ Nancy

We were fortunate enough to smoke in the Oak Room last November on the Zuidy. They have since removed the Oak Room as a cigar bar. We are looking forward to our Nov. Noordam cruise, as the Oak Room is still a cigar lounge, but will also be removed I am told. We have taken several cruises, where cigars were limited to outside decks and bars. We made do with what the ship offered, and met many cigar friends.

Thanks John, that's what I thought :(

Right now the Noordam and Oosterdam still have the Oak Room... I know the Prinsendam has an "Oak Room" as well, but you'd have to talk to a pro re: that ship regarding if the use is the same, or just a common name.

Cigars and pipes are typically outer areas only due to how much stronger of a smell they have. Cigarettes are allowed in inner areas (some) if you have any that you enjoy

I'm a non-smoker, but have no problem being helpful as the smokers I've seen on cruises I've been on have always been conscious and courteous around others that don't.

When the Westerdam had the Explorations Cafe added in the Crow's Nest, the Oak Room was removed.

Chances are the Oak Room for cigar smoking is gone on the Zuiderdam as well.

Don't they still have 'Cigars under the Stars' each evening on the Lido deck?

It wasn't listed on our last cruises.

Maybe on some ships????

I don't know - not being smokers we haven't paid close attention. Just something we've noticed in the program over the years. It is so ingrained in me that we never venture to that area at night.

Just curious, what have them dome with the Oak room?
