I like to hang up my shirts and slacks to let the wrinkles shake out. Many hotels do not have very many hangars in the closet. How about the Oosterdam??

If there aren't enough hangers just ask your room steward for more.

As Peter said, just ask ... but there has always been plenty for DW and me. Also, if there isn't enough closet space for you, just don't completely unpack your suitcase. Take enough out for 3 or 4 days, and then rotate stuff. :)

millions of coat hangers....
When our laundry and pressing came back, we had hangers from all over the USA. There was advertising for Chinese laundries all over the country on those hangers.
We were pleased to see that the hangers brought on by previous guests were being recycled...
More points to HAL....

We only had to ask for extra hangers on one cruise and that was because we bought way too much with us. Now, we know better.

Have never had to ask for hangers on any cruise.
There are a lot of them!! And I do bring along a lot of ckothes.

Unless I am travelling solo (rarely), I have never had enough hangers. I bring my own from my dry cleaning at home, they are narrower than the wooden ones provided by the ship and I can hang more stuff:D

I like to hang up everything - even t-shirts. Only use the drawer space for underwear, and miscellaneous things. Therefore, I bring lots of hangers with me when I travel (especially on cruises) - and take them back home again in my big duffle bag so they'll always be handy for the next trip. :)

We are just off the Oosterdam..sniff sniff and we actually had to have the room steward take some hangers away. No worries on this one.

Lots of good advice on hangers . . . would also suggest to pack light and use the laundry service, especially with the way airlines are charging for extra bags now.

Fortunately we're driving to the pier ... so no airline worries! :D
I am traditionally a light packer because I usually travel by air ... but this cruise thing and the potentially variable weather in Alaska has me really befuddled!
