Dear Spouse and I wil be renting a cabana at HMC, and are wondering about the drink service. I understand that cabana boys will fetch drinks, at price plus 15% tip, is that correct? Is there an unlimited drink option for the day? That seems to be one of the perks of getting butler service, but was wondering if there was another option, like a soda card kind of thing. I thought I read an old post about something like a $29 pp for day, but don't know if they still do that.

Thanks!

Hey I'm curious about that and I too remember someone posting about pre-paying drinks for the day @ HMC. What's the 411 on that?

When you get to your cabin, there will be a shore excursion form. Look under HMC. This is where you can buy either a soda card for the day or a rum punch or both - not real certain of the wording. The card can only be used on HMC. It is different than the soda card for on the ship.

I can't help you with original question..but just FYI after 1:30 PM all drinks are 1 + 1 free.

Good question- and, by the way, has anyone ever used the butler service? If so, was it worth it?

Actually KK it's a separate form that comes later in the week with the confirmation of your cabana. You fill out the bottom indicating the equipment you would like for snorkling as well as what you want on hand to drink when you get there. The unlimited beverage option is also on that form. You take the whole thing down to the excursions desk and they put it on your file, charging your ship account for the unlimited package.

Do you have to get a Cabana to purchase the 'rum punch card' or is it available to all?

Wow, thats so weird, both weeks we had a cabana and we never had to fill out anything, and we were never offered unlimited drinks of any kind, either week. We did have 12 sodas and 4 waters each week in the ice chest. Just 2 of us so it was plenty.

Now THAT is strange.

Regarding "the equipment you would like for snorkeling", what do they offer? Are snorkeling vests offered? Thanks for your help.

If I purchased the unlimited Rum Punch card, would they let just lay down under the spicket and start chugging?

Ummmm no...but I am sure those cabana boys could keep up with you as you finished off each punch. :D
