Can someone tell me which cruise line has the red smoke stack, or at least a big red decoration on top. There was a ship in New York yesterday and there was no name on her bow. We passed too close to see if her name was anywhere else, which it must have been. Thanks!

Cunard uses red on their funnels. But the ship with the big red monstrosity on top was the Carnival Miracle. The Victory will be there tomorrow, and it has one of those funnels, too.

Jim already answered, but for the future: you can check what ships are (or will be) in port on porttime.com. Also you can see what were in port in the current month. :)

If it had a navy blue hull, it was the Queen Mary 2. Otherwise it was Carnival Miracle or Carnival Victory.

Actually, QM2 (and all Cunard ships) have a dark charcoal grey hull, which includes a white line above the red boot topping. A pretty distinctive look ...

HAL vessels have a navy (marine blue) hull.

Cunard uses red on their funnels.

You forgot to mention the black stripes around the funnel, and the black top.

:D

And ... some interesting trivia for you. It's not really "red". More of a unique orange red that Cunard developed with it's 1st vessel. ;)
