I know lanyards have been discussed previously but I was wondering if anyone can tell me how to soften up the fabric so it doesn't feel like a dog collar :)

Someone posted here last week that a whole punched in the ID card indicated the person was a minor and should not be served alcohol. If you are thinking of punching a whole, you may want to check first if that is true.....if you wish to order any alcoholic drinks.

A lanyard goes around your neck and has a hook on the end (you have probably seen them with whistles attached).
They can be used with a hole punched into your boarding card/room key instead of needing to have/use pockets.
Hope this helps :)

I have seen some people put their cruise card into a plastic pouch. The puch has the holes in it for the lanyard to be attached - thereby - no hole in the card.

I suggest getting a Lanyard that looks like a shoestring. They are soft and comfortable. If using it for your S&S card, I suggest going to Walmart and purchasing a very inexpensive neck wallet for 99 cents. It has a tear-away neck cord and a plastic zippered pouch just the size to put a ID, Credit card, and your S&S card. You can also buy the ones that are more like a soft cord and punch a hole at the end of your card to hang on it. I find the thick ones are itchy so I know what you mean.

I use one with a plastic pouch at work, you can just slip your card in it, it is soft , I am used to it since I wear them everyday. I bought mine at Staples:)
