"Skippy the Alligator" from the Blender thread would be impressed. :D
SEATTLE -- Watching tour guides jump into rivers to wrestle alligators in Manaus, Brazil, is among several “active” shore tours Holland America Line will add to its lineup next year.
The line added the tour of Brazil’s Rio Negro, just above where it joins with the Amazon River, to the Veendam’s Sept. 26 cruise of the Panama Canal and the Amazon River. During the excursion, HAL said, “guides will jump into the water and catch alligators with their bare hands before releasing them unharmed back into the river.”
Other new tour choices for 2005 include a train trip in the Sierra Madre mountain range to explore the Copper Canyon during the Ryndam’s stop in Topolobampo, Mexico, on its 10-day Mexican Riviera cruise from San Diego, and all-terrain vehicle tours in Cozumel, Mexico, during the Ryndam’s Dec. 18 cruise.
