Life Jackets or Life Vests

We are decorating our req room in a cruise theme and want to paint Life Vests or Life Jackets on a wooden toy chest. I can't remember what the boxes holding the extra vest/jackets on the ships actually say?

Whatever you do, don't paint on "PFD" (for Personal Flotation Device).

It's official-sounding, but probably wouldn't work well for a rec room in Alberta. ;)

Mine cabin lifejacket closet says: "Put this on, put your shirt and jacket on over it and that's how you will look at the end of the cruise. You still want to order seconds?"

Matt - asked a friend on board the Volendam whether it was Life Jacket or Vest and she sent me a picture (which I don't know how to post here) of the box containing the floatation devices. It's Lifejackets . This is written on the front of the box and on the top is written "Only Use in Emergency".
