Yes, I know it is hard to be humble but I do need help with this. Mrs Snowman (Victoria) wants to go to S. Beach after our Oct. cruise for a few days. Can anyone help with a nice hotel within action of all. We would like a larger room or a suite with a balcony if possible that is in the heart of restaurants, cafes and bars in S. Beach area. We have never been there and I don't want to rent a car, so will take a cab from Ft. Lauderdale, as our flight will Miami on Monday. Thanks "snowman"

Snowman-
dakrewser told me about a website, www.tripadvisor.com when I was looking for information on hotels... it is a great site - there are recommendations by people who've actually stayed in the hotel and the hotels are rated by preference.
You may want to check it out. :)

Darn, you beat me to it!
But I can still put in a link (http://www.tripadvisor.com/Hotels-g34439-Miami_Beach_Florida-Hotels.html) to the Miami hotels page (you'll need to check the descriptions to see which are in South Beach).
There appears to be a good listing (with mini-reviews, but they might actually be ads) for south beach properties at this site (http://www.southbeach-usa.com/hotels/south-beach-hotels.htm). You could find something you like here, then check its reviews at Trip Advisor...
