The first two times I took a cruise to Mexico, HAL provided buses to the San Diego pier. First it was free, then a $25 charge.
They don't do that anymore, and I wish they did.
With the price of gas and parking fees, it would be a great promotion for them.

If you are referring to buses from the SAN airport to the terminal - it is much cheaper to take a taxi (less than $10)

The only buses I remember to San Diego Cruise Terminal were the ones to/from Ensenada for the Hawaii R/T Cruise. Which ones are you referring to?

What part of So. CA do you live?? We live in the San Fernando Valley and drove to the Van Nuys Metro Station and took the train from there to San Diego. Free Parking and discount given to HAL customers, it was great.

HAL provided buses from Orange County, CA, maybe LA, to the San Diego pier. We parked at a shopping center on Alicia and I-5. The bus was there. If you had an outside cabin it was free. Later they charged $25 each, but it was still a great deal and the driver loaded your bags.
It was a happy trip.

Hey Bill, I didn't know about that, and Alicia/I-5 is a few miles from home. I've never seen HAL buses on the freeway, do they hire some other company?

The Amtrak from Anaheim (angel stadium station) is around $25 each. You can park FREE in the stadium lot next to the station! always plenty of parking available!

Ditto at Irvine, no free parking at SJC. If you're going to leave your car over 48 hours you're supposed to let the station agent know, so they can advise station security.
