Hi- Has anybody been on these trips in Guatemala and have any info preferences differences. I know there's a Guatemala message board but it's not looked at as often as here.

Thanks

I spent quite a bit of time looking into both of these and will definitly say GO WITH GUS... Gus has had great reviews. This Jan my family and myself are taking medical supplies to the local clinic and Gus has been great arranging things. Gus usually takes a group to the local schools for those who wish to donate school supplies to the kids. That was my initial plan until I found out the school will be out when I go. But I am sure the clinic will be happy too!!

Just another opinion but we did the exact same tourincluding the Mayan school with Happy Fish - just make sure you mention your intent on bringing the supplies in your email communication so they know in advance.
I only mention all all of this in the event Gus is booked you do have an alternative w/ Happy Fish.
Enjoy!

Gus is $85 and Happy fish is like $50 does anybody know the difference. There's 4 of us so it adds up. I would love to go to the school (it's a must) I want my kids to see this.

I went with Gus in January and it was the best shore excursion ever! Went donated supplies to the school, toured the river, had lunch at his hotel all in a very nice boat with Gus as tour guide. Gus adds a very personal touch that is not to be missed!
Good luck!

This is exactly what I have been told many a times!! The personal touch is what sold me... But of course this IMO :)

Best of Luck to you and let us know how it goes!!!

Ruth and I have been with him several times. Last time we took some computers to the school and when we go this year we have several computers and about 30 boxes of school and medical supplies....
