WE have been on 10 day and 14 day cuises but not 12 days. Can anyone tell me how the formal and informal nights breaks down. Are there 2 or 3 formal?
Also, on the Noordam the pressing package was $30 for unlimited pressing for the cabin (not per person) if you signed up first day of cruise. Has this changed as I saw an e-mail someone copied from HAL that said per person?
Thanks for info.

Hi Patsy,

No long now until we both sail - 10 more sleeps for us! On our 13 day cruise our documents say 3 formal nights, 2 semi formal and the rest casual.

Last year on the Noordam the documents said the same but when we boarded the semi formal became 4 or 5, I am not sure which it was. I cannot help you with the pressing package as we had a suite last time and it was free! We have a mini this time so we will be paying.

Have a great cruise and enjoy Venice!

How many on a 14 day cruise?

Last year we were on a 14 day cruise from Copenhagen to Rome on the Noordam and we had the same amount of formal nights as we will have in a few weeks time and that is three. They are usually held on the sea days so perhaps if there are 4 sea days, there would be four.

We had three nights on our 12 day cruise. I will say that the formal night on the port day was not as *formal* as the others. Some were not dressed formally at all.
I ended up repeating outfits and did not even wear all the formals I brought with me. In that sense I would not worry the ship is large enough that no one will care if you wear the same thing twice.

Jacqueline, I think I remember reading that you were on the Westerdam earlier this year. If so, did you use the pressing package and do you remember if it was $30 per person or per cabin?
Thanks to all for info on formal nights.
Jennie, I saw that you were celebrating your retirement. So happy for you. We love it and wonder how we ever found time to work. The time seems to fly by. Have a great time on your cruise. Maybe one day we'll actually pass in person.

There was a flat fee for the the cruise but I just did the $12 per bag. I had 5 people and still found this worked fine for me.
I did handwash the fragile items.
