Good Evening Members of CC,

My husb. is a Platinum member with Princess, I asked a HAL representative since Princess is part of the World's Leading Cruise Lines if we would benefit from this, she gave a vague answer, but there was a YES somewhere in the discussion.

We found Vacation International Privileges somewhere in some old Princess Paperwork, he is researching it now.

Does anyone know if we would benefit at all from this? If so what did you get, i.e. special rate, upgrade, a discount card for shops, a free mug - anything? : )

I thought it was worth asking. I am trying to prepare a list of questions for our meeting with our TA.

Hope everyone is doing well -

I believe that qualifies you for the small Mariner discount, but that's all. :(

The only benefit to be derived from your Princess cruise history on HAL is when any past cruise of any Carnival Family of Ships cruise line books on any of the others, they are eligible for any 'repeater' discount. That is usually a quite small percentage.

No days on Princess count toward Mariner days on HAL (or any of the other Carnival family of ships). Mariner Society is HAL's Past Passenger Program.

Carnival Corporation Family of Ships are Princess, Costa, HAL, Cunard, Carnival and Seabourn.

We are elite members on Princess -- just a tiny discount.

My TA said you only get the past cruiser discount.
