We are getting ready to depart on our 2nd HAL cruise and I remember last year feeling a little unprepared when a list arrived about debarkation options. Does anyone know what those options are so hopefully I can feel a little more prepared this year. We are debarking in Seward and have plans to go to Sealife center and on a Renown tour so we need an option to get off the ship early. Thank you for your help!

On the first sea day go to the front desk and discuss this with them and they will be able to resolve your problem....

You can sign up for self-disembarkation. (This means you are responsible for your luggage) With self-disembarkation you can leave anytime you want after they make the first announcement for disembarking. We were on the Volendam in June. Our itineray said our ship would dock in Seward at 7:00 a.m. We actually docked much earlier. The first announcement for disembarking was made at 6:30 a.m. We were going on a 9:00 a.m. Northwestern Fjords Boat Tour in Seward, so we left the boat at 7:30 a.m. Disembarkation was fast and easy. For our ship, we were told that luggage could not be guarenteed to be available until 9:30 a.m. Since that was not going to work for us, we signed up for self-disembarkation and handled our own luggage. Worked like a charm for us!!
