Hello Everyone! I Would Like To Know The Age Group On The Mexican Cruises ?

We have had all age groups on those cruises.

One year we sailed at Thanksgiving - one cruise was a ten day cruise -- lots of families on board.

HAL does not sail in Mexico in the summer.

I think it's all about Carnival and RCL in the summer and I suspect those cruises skew younger than most, given school breaks and the ease of driving to port, for so many.

Average age will be 50 to 60. You'll find more kids on board over Holiday's cruises especialy spring break but on the whole Hal tends to have cruising passengers that are more mature.

We are booked on the Ryndam Thanksgiving cruise. This will be our first HAL cruise! (we usually cruise Princess). Anyway, when you say 'lots of families on board'.... are we talking kids running through the halls and public areas???

Cali, you are like me...we are in our 30s and wanted a more quiet cruise. We like being around the "mature crowd". My dad is my best friend!

My opinion, no - on the whole most of the kids are pretty well behaved and Hal normally does not have the amount of kids on board like RC, or Carnival does. Also when we say there are more families on board over Holiday's, that can mean parents with their almost adult children. Certainly their not all 10 years old and it also depends on how long the cruise is, if it is a Sea of Cortez trip, which is a 10 day cruise you will see less kids then on a 7 day.

Time of year has a lot to do with the number of children on board.
When we sailed the Oosterdam to the Mex Riv, there were 12 in my son's age group (14). They were all very well behaved and respectful.
When we sailed the Grand Princess in November - week before Thanksgiving - there were 80+ in his age group (15-16) No problems with them, you could just tell that they were everywhere.
As far as the adults, we are 56 & 48 and feel that we fit well on HAL. Some people are older, some are younger. We're not party types but enjoy evening activities - shows, dancing etc. I'm sure it happens but I have not seen anyone get out of hand on a HAL ship. Could be I'm already in bed if it happens because I like getting up early to enjoy the day.

DH and I, 57 & 56, will be on Oosterdam Dec. 13 to 20. I'm not expecting as many kids that week, but when we get off there will probably be a lot of kids getting on the ship.

Somewhere, recently, I read the average age on HAL cruises is 57/58.
