Cruise Ship Of The Future

Wall-e ... ;) Yes the movie Wall-e shows the space ship cruise of the future... and believe it or not it has a LIDO DECK :D with a pool..and the way that they were having a party (Plus the kids) It must be CARNIVAL CRUISE lines...any one seen the movie??? comments of cruises of the future like the year 2020 or so...Just for fun... and how will they be smugglimg the "Booze" :eek: on board by then???

Dh and I took our grandson to see Wall E the weekend after we got home from a Med cruise. I almost cracked up in the movie theater when I realized this movie was about all these quite rolly-polly people accustomed to being waited on hand and foot and THEY WERE ON A CRUISE!!! When we got out of the movie and I could talk to hubby (grandson was sitting between us during the movie), I said "Can you believe that?" My husband said he was highly offended LOL, especially since we had just gotten home from a cruise.

Other than that, we didn't care a lot for the movie. Grandson loved it and that's all that matters.

HAL just Dedicated Eurodam.....

One would expect she should still be sailing in 2020.
And Noordam certainly should be.....probably all the Vistas. Don't know about the "S" and "R" Class ships still being with HAL but they might still be sailing though with a different company.

Wall-E is a cute movie. I took my kids when it opened a few weeks after our cruise to Alaska. The Lido Deck, pool, and announcements cracked us up. There is also a cute advertisement for the 5 year cruise (which ended up taking 700 years) where special scooters mean Grandma doesn't have to walk. The crew are all robots. I did wonder how the ship was resupplied in outer space during the cruise- but it is a movie. I did not realize that part of the film takes place on a cruise ship before watching the film, so it was even funnier when the announcements about the Lido Deck took place.
