In Saturday's mail we received the HAL Mariner brochure for Fall 2004 and in it is Promo 22 for a cruise we are in the process of booking to Hawaii in February. TA called HAL who says this must be a typo and really means Promo 200. Well, in today's mail, I get a separate mailing from HAL on Hawaii that shows Promo 200 at $458 more pp than the rate shown under Promo 22. As we have 4 people going (2 cabins), this is not an insignificant difference.
Anyone else had this happen or using Promo 22?? Thanks.

Last year we took the Hawaii cruise on the Statendam in Feb/Mar. We booked directly through HAL and when I called they couldn't find anything on the promo we received in the mail. They talked with their supervisor, who had me fax the promo to them and they honored the lower price and we had a super time on the cruise.
Hope it works out for you

Thanks. We faxed the promo to the supervisor and they will not honor it-says it is a missprint.

Seems like pretty poor customer service, I guess we must have just lucked out. Can't understand how sales and printing don't work better together

Don-I suspect sales increased substantially for the trip between the time the brochure was drafted and the time it was mailed and received. Convenient way to not honor an offer, or perhaps it was a missprint. But then, I believe in Santa too.
