I recently sailed on the Zuiderdam’s September 11th Eastern Caribbean sailing. When I made the reservations, I sent the request for the $100.00 Carnival Cruise shareholder credit, which was noted in my reservation. I made it clear that the credit was to go to me and not my roommate, who I have no relation with, other than being a friend.
When I checked my account on board, I found that I only received a $50.00 credit. The other $50.00 did not show up on my friend’s statement. When I asked about this, the crewmember told me that my roommate write out a letter requesting the $50.00 credit be transferred to my account. My friend did this for me, but I found this to be very awkward and unnecessary.
I don’t think I should have been placed in the position of asking my friend for this since HAL's reservation department noted that I was the shareholder.
Notwithstanding, I had a wonderful time on this ship and enjoyed myself.

The $50.00 was credited to my account after my friend wrote the letter requesting the transfer.

We have the shareholder credit and it does say on the reservation copy the following " $50PP/$100PC (per cabin) "CARNIVAL C TWN 100204""
It's probably something that could have been set up correctly (all to you)when you checked in at the pier when you established the onboard accounts. I can only assume that you each had separate accounts. By default they probably just split it to PAX 1&2 so by telling them at check-in, you could probably get it changed to just the one account.

localady - You can use your CCL credit as many times as you want in a year. We have use it twice this year so far. (The $100 per cabin for the 7 to 13 days.) We will be leaving in Nov. on the Prinsendam 28 day Amazon Cruise and will be getting the $250 credit for the over 14 days. Our TA always checks our Docs when he gets them in to make sure we have our credit. Penny

GrammyPL- Thanks for the information, we have just acquired CCL stock ( more than 100 shares) and I am trying to determine when they will be useful to use. I understand that if you have received other shipboard credits that they will not allow us to use our CCL stock credit, is this correct???? Thanks again!!!!

You are correct. No other credits can be used with the stock credit.
It is also possible they may not allow it because of a super low fare.
