We are going on the MS Amsterdam South American Lost Empires Cruise leaving October 6 to Oct 25. Followed by the Wild Side Cruise Oct 25th to Nov 14th.
We would like to meet up with other Crusiers that are taking one or both of these crusies. Crusing around South America looks like it will be a lot of fun...
Also let me know if anyone has taken this trip and how they liked it?
Thanks

You might want to search and/or post on the Roll-Call board. If anyone else has already started a thread you can add your name. If not, you can be a leader!

My wife and I will be on the South America trip leaving Seattle on Oct. 1. We have elected to take two back to back trips; thus, we will end this cruise in Rio on Nov. 11. I noticed that you have indicated that you will be on this cruise until Nov. 14; one of of us must be wrong???

Your right... We are ging to pick up the cruise in San Fran., although we live in Seattle. We will also be staying in Rio at the end thus that date.
Hope we can meet up.

Sorry, I was incorrect. We will arrive in Seattle on Oct 1; have elected to take the precruise package. The cruise departs Seattle on Oct. 3. Since you are from Seattle, any recommendations regarding sightseeing or night life?

We've been in Seattle a bit more than five years and love everything about this city. Things to do include a city tour, in order to get your bearings, and maybe a trip to the top of the Space Needle, at Seattle Center, to see the lay of the land. Duck tours are very popular and Gray Line does a good city tour. Since boarding will be on the 3rd, and I don't know when you arrive on the 1st, you should at least have all day Saturday, the 2nd. Depending on where you are staying, I would recommend going down to the waterfront piers for a good walk. Ivar's Acres of Clams would be a good place for lunch and Pike Place Market (not to be missed) is easily accessible from the waterfront. Good nightlife and restaurants exist in Belltown, close to Seattle Center. Seattle is really a very compact city and I hope these suggestions are helpful.

Hello Barbiebell,
We were originally going to be on your cruise leaving Oct whenever from Seattle but my wife felt two back to back cruises would be too long so we will be joining you in Chile on October 25th for the second leg.
I hear the second leg is completely full as I did not get an upgrade.

Thank you for the information. We have heard that Seattle is a beautiful city and appreciate your recommendations. One additional question: what are the normal weather conditions in Seattle at this time of year? Hope to meet you and your husband on ship.
